When In Doubt, Tear Paper!

I am always looking for ways to make my pages look more creative and interesting.
At our last crop, there was a statement made over and over again.....

Tear Paper!

Sounds simple, but Ohhhhh what an impact it can make.
It adds texture, interest and layers
to an other wise boring page.

There are tools out there made specifically for tearing.
I have one that I love and use it often,
but sometimes it makes the page so much more interesting if
there is no pattern to the tear.

Here is an example of a simple page made so much more interesting,
simply by tearing a sheet of paper.
Next time you have a page that seems flat or dull....

Stocking Up!

Kroger is having a really good sale on water.

I don't like to drink water that comes through the pipes in the camper.
I just don't like the taste.
So when we camp, I bring my own water for cooking and making coffee.
Tonight  at Kroger, I bought these large bottles for only .50 a piece!

You have to buy 10, so I stocked up.

I am ready to go camping!

A Cool New Ribbon Tool

Before starting our weekend Crop, we stopped by our favorite scrapbook store
www.scrappininthecity.com to check out the lastest and greatest
things available in scrapbooking.

They always have something different to make your pages really pop.
This is the tool they shared with us this trip.
  Sew Ribbon
We loved it and used on so many pages that I lost count!

Cost is $14.99

Here is how it works....
Magnets hold the paper between the two sides of the tool.
You press the blade with a little pressure into the slots.
This creates the cuts for the ribbon to slide through.

Once you have pierced them all, remove tool and start sewing your ribbon.  It is that easy!

Here are two of the many pages we created using this cool new tool,

(Please forgive the poor photography, I am still learning)
Here's a close up
It comes in 4 or 5 different patterns, so your ribbon will take on a whole new look,
depending on which style you choose to use.

Happy Scrappin!
