"Stop Being NAsTy"

I am going to discuss the one thing no Camper
or RV owner wants to talk about!
The Sewer Hose!

I had a real issue when our RV dealer said we
should store it,
Here...

Really?? The back bumper?
I don't think so, my kids play near there.

So I came up with a better idea...

Rubbermaid

Plastic tubs are so wonderful. You can bleach as often as you see fit and you can hide that nasty hose out of sight and not drip sewer germs all over the back end of your camper.

Once it is closed and wiped clean we store it here...

Which means for me...

Making Teacher Gifts Special With Personalized Tags

We decided to make the end of the year
teacher gifts a little more special this year.

We started with a simple tag from the
Cricut cartridge
"Going Places"

We cut the tags 5 inches

Then we made circles with a 1" circle punch
Then glued these brown circles on both sides of the tags and
punched holes in those

Then from "George And Basic Shapes" cartridge we cut out
the word Thanks and shadowed them in brown.

We inked the edges of the tags...

Added a scripture verse, the Thanks and a flower.
We then cut out a separate 1" tag and wrote each
teacher's name on  each of those.

Add twine and tied them to the bags!
I love the way they turned out.

I know I would feel special if I received one of these!

A Night With My Favorite Author

Jan Karon
visited my home town last night.

She was everything I expected and more.

She is the only author that I enjoy reading every single thing she writes. Her writing is so uplifting and encouraging that even someone like me will sit still for hours and escape into
her fictional town of Mitford.
Oh how I would love to live in that small town.

The only word I can come up with that describes
this very talented lady is
Lovely.

If you have never read any of her work,
you can find it
 Here

Her writing is so vivid that she was constantly being asked for the recipes of the dishes she describes in her novels.

She was asked so much that she
decided to write a cookbook.

Some of the recipes were fictional dishes she
created for the story, so
she had to create them for the actual cookbook.

She is now working on her next novel and I assure you that I will be the first in line to get it when it is finished.

If you are looking for your next great read for camping...
This is it!

Portable Herb Garden

One thing I enjoy about having our own camper is that I can bring "home" with us when we travel.

One thing that is worth taking...
A small herb garden
I set it outside the camper when we reach our destination
and snip herbs as needed.

The Perfect Camping Grill

I believe we have found the perfect grill for camping.
I know some of you are real campers and only cook on an open fire, but we are not that hardcore. We use campfires for roasting marshmallows, staying warm, keeping bugs away, and creating a memorable experience.
When it comes to cooking food, I prefer a clean surface and  controlled heat.
This particular grill comes with a grill and griddle plates that are interchangeable.
We bought this Coleman grill at Dick Sporting Goods a few years ago when it was on sale. It has been worth every dime.

It folds flat so it is perfect for storage and travel.

Camping World will advertise these on sale from time to time.
This was the sale a few weeks ago.
I believe this is what we paid a few years ago.

If you are looking for a grill for your camper, this is it!
