Perspectve

As you know, my word for 2014 is "Simplify".
I have totally embraced it, as is evident by the lack of posts on my blog.
It has really freed me up to just enjoy the everyday,
stop stressing and basically give myself a break!

I do plan to get back to blogging though.
Not because I think it is special
or that I think what I have to say is just so important,
but because I just plain ole enjoy it!
I love having my own little space here on the world wide web!

To get back in the swing of things,
I want to share something I learned this week from one of my favorite bloggers.

She just returned from Africa on a trip with
to tell the story of Children around the world that need our help.

I have so enjoyed reading about her journey and all she learned.
But there was one post that really spoke to me.
I can't possibly put it any better than she did, so go over and read it here...

Sometimes I find myself complaining about what I don't have
or how my life would be so much better if only...this or that.

What I learned from her post??

To Dance in my basement!

My happy place!
It is not pretty, it is cold
(I have to build a fire all winter just to be able to work there)
and it not where the rest of my family likes to hang out,
But it is mine and I will dance in it and be thankful!!
